VII、Business Administration Major

◆Bachelor level

Service Management
provides an exposure to all aspects of the service industry, including the strategic management, operation process, human resource management and marketing strategy.

International Business Management
examines global competitive strategies and the management of firms engaged in multinational and foreign operations. Primary focus is on strategic and operation management in international setting. Also examined are topics in social, economic, political, technological, legal, and regulatory issues.

Entrepreneurship
introduces how new businesses adopt entrepreneurial strategies for growth and development. The characteristics of entrepreneurial behavior, creativity and innovation in product/service development are also explored.

Entrepreneur Analysis
focuses on corporate and divisional policy formulation and implementation. The knowledge and techniques learned in earlier courses will be applied in an integrated fashion to the process of strategic decision making and organizational change. A significant aspect of the course is devoted to assessing and analyzing the competitive dynamics of firms.

Business Ethics
examines the legal environment in which business must operate and explore the ethical implications of business decisions. The course also examines law as an important institution of society and considers the ways in which it can be used as a tool for generating sound, ethical business policy.

Technology Management
provides an understanding of the wide range of technological and organizational issues involved in strategic management. Appropriate theoretical frameworks and pertinent cases will also be introduced.

Innovation Management and Creativity
tools for and experience in finding and developing innovative alternatives for addressing strategic business problems are examined. Students will explore creativity from individual and team perspectives and identify innovation opportunities and roadblocks in organizational settings.

◆Master level

Business Research Methods
provides the student with an introduction to quantitative and qualitative methods useful in business decision making.

Marketing Management
exposes students to a wide range of marketing problems and provides them with the analytic perspectives and strategic marketing decision tools for analyzing and solving those problems.

Human Resource Management
provides students for a professional career in human resources management, and develops skills and expertise in areas such as planning, staffing, job design, employee development, performance management, compensation, and managing diversity.

Entrepreneurship – Innovation
covers developing competence in processes of idea creation and opportunity recognition; exploring use of critical thinking tactics to screen ideas and opportunities for value; learning creative problem-solving approaches for each functional area of business; confronting challenging trade-offs in balancing resources demands across functions; understanding the impact of interpersonal skills on an entrepreneur’s success; contributing to the involvement and knowledge-building efforts of class peers and convincing yourself you can start a new venture in the future if you wish to do so.

Strategic Management
provides students opportunities to integrate the knowledge and skills learned in accounting, marketing, management, finance, human resource management, and management information systems. In the course, general management cases will be presented in which students must seek to identify multiple functional challenges and devise effective, cross-functional solutions.

Case Study of Management
utilizes case and field study approaches are utilized to enhance students understanding of how to identify and practical problems in management.
